The Amazing Race Asia 3

Thank goodness Vince and Sam won the race. I would hate to see Tisha and Geoff winning it! They sure did not seem happy about - you can tell from Tisha's emotionless peck on Geoff's cheek.

RIP

Archbishop Emeritus Gregory Yong was called back to the Lord on 28th June 2008. Although he will be sadly missed, I believe he is in a better place than all of us right now and so we should rejoice this mystery of life.

Indiana Jones

I watched Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with much anticipation despite the reviews that it wasn't that "good". The movie was entertaining BUT it lack the movie magic which graced the 3 previous installments (OK, 2 previous installments - Temple of Doom was not that great).

I mean, are you kidding me? Flying saucers and aliens? Come on, George/Steven, you can do better than that!

Majulah Singapura!

What should I do now that I have a pink IC?
Maybe I should apply to work for Mindef? Or become a MP? Ha! Ha! Ha!

Danica Patrick wins

I can't believe she actually won a race. I thought she is like that tennis slut, Anna what's her name, who has not won a SINGLE TITLE in the tennis circuit but gets a whole load of endorsements because she is pretty.

Sufiah Yusof "influenced by black magic"?

Some excerpts from www.melayu.org.uk.
"Based on discussion with Islamic medical practitioners and several divine guidance, we are convinced that Sufiah is under the influence of black magic. For that reason, a delegation from Malaysia headed by Ustaz Trimizi Zainal will depart Malaysia on 19th April to treat Sufiah using Islamic Medical practice. Ustaz Trimizi Insha'Allah will be in UK for 1 month and Insha'Allah he will treat Sufiah for the whole of the duration.
..."
"Since the primary objective of the delegation is for the treatment of Sufiah for the sake of Allah, we hope you will be able to contribute as follows:
1. monetary contribution to cover the cost of flight, transportation, food, lodging etc for 1 month
2. making supplication and hajat prayers so that Allah will make it easy for us to meet Sufiah and treat her
3. disseminate this information to others so that they too will make supplication and hajat prayers and donate some money"

Really? I am shell shocked? How much money do they need? Will they be flying coach or first class? Where are they staying, YMCA or The Lowry?

Leave Sufiah alone. She seems happy in this video.

Sufiah Yusof is not Malaysian

Malaysian government is sending a team of people to help save Sufiah Yusof from a "predicament". I personally think Sufiah Yusof is happy what she is doing and definitely does not want to be saved by some Muslim clerics from Malaysia. She is not even a Malaysian. Why does the Malaysian government want to help a non-Malaysian? Maybe because Sufiah's mother was a former Malaysian and the name "Sufiah Yusof" sounds Malay and Sufiah looks like a Malay girl.

Or maybe the Malaysian government wants to help high profile cases like this as this generates more publicity than helping needy Malaysians facing similar problems back at home? Typical Malaysian crap.

Fake China?

Another fake item from China. China often produces fake items like fake photos, fake extinct animal, fake char siew buns, fake women, fake phones, fake radios, fake software etc. Can China produce anything original? Can you think of any other things they faked? I wonder what things can be faked during the Olympic Games which will be held in Beijing in August later this year.

I have just installed Apple's Safari on my notebook and I must I am pretty impressed by this software. I have not made it my default browser but I have been using it for the past 2 days and it really rocks. The look and feel is really pleasing to the eye!

Good job Team Singapore

Colin and Adrian won the 2nd Season of the Amazing Race Asia. The winning move was the road block which Adrian aced through. A big surprise was the Pamela and Vanessa who came in second. I am happy team Singapore won.

I say "Yes, Yes, Yes!"

I heard her song "Rehab" a few months ago on MTV and immediately I like it - it has such a catchy tune. I like the video too. I knew somehow that song will get her nominated for a Grammy. And lo and behold, she won the song of the year and record of the year for "Rehab".

Amy Winehouse rocks (except for her stupid bee-hive hairdo, drug problems, ugly tattoos, weird taste in clothes, offbeat make up, bad teeth)

Why do some people even bother?

Beats the heck out of me why some people dress up as X men characters. They look ridiculous!

I almost lost my lunch

10 minutes into the movie and I started feeling the awful sensation of motion sickness. This first person perspective movie concept sure does not go well with me. I could not believe J.J. Abrams made this crap. It was a good thing they killed off Hud - he was a lousy cameraman. After killing off Hud, the movie was slightly better.

To me, the best part of the movie was when they showed the credits - it was the most stable scene of the entire movie. I have never been so happy to see the credits.

I can't believe they are still in the race

The smartest thing they have done so far!

Vanessa looks scary here. She could be possessed by the spirit of the bunny!

Eliminated

No surprises here, they were so far behind!

Detour is a choice between 2 tasks...

Ann nudged Diane and suggested to her team mate that they should choose "blow" since "they are girls and they should be better". Later the girls chose Bow instead. Thank goodness they chose "Bow", they would be so disappointed with "Blow".

Good riddance

After finding out that they will be flying to Taiwan, Nathan said he could eat some "Thai food" and meet some "Thai people" in Taiwan. What an idiot. Thank goodness they got eliminated.

Bye bye Goths

In the latest episode of the Amazing Race Season 12, Kynt & Vyxsin got eliminated. They came in last in the previous episode so they had to incur a new game penalty called the "speed bump." The "speed bump" is another additional task which only the last team in the previous round had to perform. Honestly, they did pretty well in that task and managed to catch with the Jennifer & Nathan. Both teams (the Goths and Jennifer & Nathan) raced to the next clue where a U-turn lied ahead. This is another new game concept, where a team can force another team to back and perform the task of the detour. The Goths reached the U-turn first and decided to use the U-turn against Nicolas and Donald who might have already completed the race! OK, the Goths may not have known this but their closest competitors at that time was Jennifer & Nathan - they met each other in one of the tasks (the flower garland making task). Common sense would dictate that you need to get rid of the closest competitor to you at that point in time. I am sure if Jennifer & Nathan reached the U-turn first, they would have used that against the Goths. Actually, Jen & Nathan seem very anxious to reach there first. I would! Alas, in the race to the pit stop at Mumbai, Jen & Nathan reached there before the Goths.

I like the Goths, they were entertaining but played their cards wrongly. Maybe too much sun and make up, caused Kynt to make a really stupid decision.
